Recipes

A Recipe is a standard way of expressing a particular type of experience. It provides a common language and prevents the use of different words saying the same thing. Basically, a Recipe specifies which verbs and activity types and extensions and the like to use and how to use them for a given experience.

VisCa has worked closely with xAPI Chinese CoP to identify the following use cases and their profiles / recipes, which work along with AcrossX vocabulary registry .

  • Video (Use cases show the general behavior/action when learners watch videos.)
  • eBook (Use cases show the general behavior/action when learners read eBooks.)
  • Assessment (Use cases show the general behavior/action when learners take an exam or a quiz.)
  • Practice (Use cases show the general behavior/action when learners take a quick question in the video or eBook.)

At the same time of designing these recipes, their visualizations are considered as well. We will keep add or update these recipes if needed. If you have questions, or like to be informed whenever we have updates, please email: viscaservice@gmail.com
